Mawlch Ris

Ris is my black shadow, I sometimes call him the dark side of my soul, and he is definitely a bipolar dog - big cuddly piece of teddy bear at home and a crazy beast outside and of course on agility course. He came as my second real agility dog, but he is not really an easy dog to work with. In a way, I am still waiting for him to grow up and mature, but he is almost five and still somehow this grown-up wisdom eludes him. He is so far my biggest teacher - despite the fact that with him you have to work hard for every step in a positive direction, he made me a better trainer and handler and for that I will be forever grateful.

He was my first dog that I qualified to AWC with, 2014. in Luxembourg, but unfortunately articifial grass was never his terrain. He is a big dog, fast on straight lines but not such a natural turner and it takes him a long time to adjust to the new surface. It became better with years, but still not good enough yet.

With him I also had some great results, like placing 6th in individual agility run at EO in Hungary in 2014, and I was running both him and Will that same year when our Croatian team placed 3rd in team qualifications (he was also placed 10th in team agility run).

I still believe his time is yet to come - maybe it will take us longer, but we will get there, crazy and loud every step of the way.
